Why builders choose Keystone

The difference is in the metal

A house is only as sound as the fasteners inside its walls. We obsess over the steel so you never have to think about it twice.

Forged from drawn steel

Every nail starts as high-carbon wire drawn and headed in our Ohio foundry, never re-melted scrap.

Corrosion that never wins

Hot-dip galvanizing and mechanical zinc plating keep our fasteners holding long after the paint fades.

Grip you can feel

Ring and spiral shanks bite into the grain so joints stay tight through every season of expansion.

Bulk, shipped same day

Order by the box or the pallet. In-stock lines leave the dock the same day you place the order.

How every Keystone nail is made

  1. 01

    Drawn steel wire

High-carbon wire is drawn to precise gauge, the foundation of a nail that stays straight under the hammer.

  2. 02

    Forged & headed

Cold-heading presses form the head and point in one strike, then roll the shank for maximum grip.

  3. 03

    Coated & hardened

Hot-dip zinc or heat treatment is applied and tested against ASTM salt-spray and hardness standards.

  4. 04

    Collated & shipped

Nails are counted, collated into strips or coils, boxed, and staged for same-day dispatch.

Builders don’t switch back

I have framed hundreds of homes and Keystone ring-shanks are the only nails I trust for load-bearing walls. They hold, plain and simple.

Their coil nails never jam my nailer, even on a full roof in July. Same-day shipping has saved more than one deadline for my crew.

Dana Whitfield

The galvanized finish holds up on coastal decks where cheaper nails rust out in a season. Worth every cent for the callbacks it prevents.
